There are many possible reasons but as per the feedback we received from the hotels, most attribute it to two issues –money and manpower.
High fixed cost of property management system (PMS/ RMS) + channel manager (CM) + revenue manager (RM) is too much for small hotels to absorb before seeing any increase in revenue from these solutions. Also some solutions are bit difficult to understand and need training. We solve these issues by making the interface super simple and allowing the hotel to use all the functions of the product and future releases (full access not a limited feature version) free to use. We only charge when a booking is made.
